Awareness on Sexual Abuse

One of the main project of this year is Awareness of Sexual Abuse program to the Girl students of various schools in 
each month. Faculty of this program was Meera Ramesh. Total Beneficieries of this project were 3200 girl students. Total cost of the project was Rs.36000/-. We held a seminar about right touch and wrong touch through power point presentation in all the schools . It was explained to them that there was no need for anyone to touch their lips or mouth, their chest region, their private parts or their back. We should not lose our original selves in the midst of a challenge whereas we should convert the challenge to our advantage and we should prove our potential was emphasied .With this mind set the children were slowly informed about the various problems which a girl may have to face in the present day Moreover if they are subjected to emotional or psychological stress they should immediately seek guidance and counseling from parents , teachers or professionals. If they happened to face difficulty in managing gender attraction the need to ventilate their feelings and to get help to steer through those turbulent emotions was clearly elucidated. It was explained to them that such thoughts are biological and that they need not feel guilty about it. And also we teach about the problem through cell phone chatting, emails and cinema, All this has given them an awareness of their own selves and during the interaction section their doubts were clarified all the more.
Dental Camp

VETRI NAMMIDAM (One Day RYLA)

Every month our club conducted a One day RYLA to various school and college students. Faculty of this program was Mr.Senthilkumar, Chairman of Helix School, Salem. Self improvement & placement training seminar also done well. Total beneficiaries of this program were 520. The chair person of this program was Rtn.S.Saradha. Total Cost of the project: Rs.50000/-
SCAW Project at Trichy
Venue: Trichy

On behalf of our club 25 children were taken to Trichy for SCAW ( Sleeping Children Around the World) Project on 27.1.14. The children were given uniforms, bed kits and stationery items and also lunch. The chair person of this project is Rtn. Parameswari. Total number of beneficiaries 25. Cost of the project Rs.4500/-

Joint Meet of Interact Clubs

Our club conducted a joint meet of interact clubs at Meenatchi School on 26.2.14. All our seven interact clubs were

ID Card Distribution
Venue: Govt., Girls High School, Velliyanai.

Our club distributed ID cards to the students of Govt., Girls High school, velliyanai, as on 21.4.14. 526 students were benefited by this project. Chair person of this project was Rtn.J.Sowmiya. The cost of the project was Rs.15000/-.
New Generation Service:

a) Our club donated computers to help in developing computer education for the students in the Velu Elementary School which is our club’s adopted school. Cost of the project: Rs.13000/- 
b) To build confidence and self-esteem in differently able students, we honored them with a awards as “Young Achievers” based on their skills and talents.
c) Our club distributed wheel chair for the orthopedically challenged child, so that she can be independent to an extent. Cost of the project: Rs.500/-
d) we identified a school in Gandhigramam “Thanthonimalai Union Middle School” for the construction and renovation of toilets which would bring a better sanitation to the school.
Rotract and Interact Clubs Installation and Orientation

On 17.07.2013 morning 10.00 am, Interact Club Installation and Orientation program was held to 7 schools of Interactors. 120 students were participate in this programme. 
Chief Guest of the program was Rtn. PP Balaji, Rotary club of Karur Texcity. Cost of the project: Rs.1500/-
On the same day 2.30 pm Rotract Club Installation and Orientation program was successfully initiated for 5 colleges of Rotractors through Power Point Presentation. Totally 80 students were participated in this program. Rtn.Nicholus, Past President of Rotary club of Madurai was the chief guest of this program. The chair person of this program was Rtn.Rajathi. Cost of the project: Rs.2000/-
Stitching Machine to Disabled School Children
Venue: CSI Girls High School

Our club donated a stitching machine to the disable students of CSI Girls High School on 19.7.13 at 11.00 am. 
We feel very glad to informing that it will helpful to the students to encourage themselves more than their disabilities. Total beneficiaries of this project were 35 students. Cost of the project: Rs.6000/-
On the same day 1.00 pm, our club conducted a project “Better Sanitation – Healthy Life” at Govt., Girls High School. 500 students of this school were got benefit because of this program. We are going to held this project twice a week. Cost of the project: Rs.3500/-

Our club conducted a One day RYLA to the college students. Faculty of this program was Mr.Senthilkumar, Chairman of Helix School, Salem.

District Interact RYLA – GOOGLE 2013
Venue:Pon Vidhya Mandir

We feel very glad to had the responsibility of arrange District Interact RYLA. We are very thankful to our District Governor Rtn. Gopal to gave this opportunity to us. All the clubs of District 3000 were registered their Interact students for this RYLA. 
Totally 111 students were participated in this program and it was held on 8.8.13 to 11.8.13 at Pon Vidhya Mandir, Karur. Chief guest of this program was Rev. Dr. C. Joe Arun SJ. We are thankful to the Pilot Faculty Mr.G.Senthilkumar, Helikx Open school, Salem. And as on 11.8.13, Salem District 2980 DGE Rtn.Balakrishnan was participate as the chief guest and distribute Ms.RYLA/Mr.RYLA certificates to the students. We sponsor 9 students to particitpate on behalf of our club. Chair person of this program was PP.Rtn.Vinitha and Secretary PP.Rtn.Neelavathy.
