Our first project of the year was the Free Mammogram Test for poor women who couldnt afford such tests. We brought the Rotary Mobile Mammogram truck from Trichy and conducted tests on poor Women. As its also a screening test for Breast Cancer, the poor women mostly daily wage workers from textile units in karur were benefitted.

We started the project immediately after our Installation function. The Transport Minister for state, Mr.Senthil Balaji was the Chief Guest and Inaugurated the Project. PDG Kalpana Ghound was also present. The project ran for four days during which almost 200 women were screened with Mammogram tests.

Being an all Womens club, we believe, our year started on a high note with a project dedicated for the less fortunate women in Karur.
